Open LG Apps
On the LG remote, press Home, open Apps or LG Content Store, then search for Developer Mode.
If the app does not appear, the TV may be too old or may not support the Developer Mode app.
LG webOS setup
LG TVs need Developer Mode before a phone or computer can install MAC Player. Follow these steps on the TV first, then use the MAC Player Phone Installer.
On the LG remote, press Home, open Apps or LG Content Store, then search for Developer Mode.
If the app does not appear, the TV may be too old or may not support the Developer Mode app.
Select the official Developer Mode app and install it. When it finishes, open it from the LG launcher.
Sign in inside the Developer Mode app using an LG account. If the sign-in fails, carefully check the password and use Show password if available.
Switch Dev Mode Status to ON. The TV may ask to restart. Allow the restart, then open the Developer Mode app again.
After restart, reopen Developer Mode and confirm Dev Mode Status still shows ON.
Inside Developer Mode, turn Key Server ON. This allows the phone installer to fetch the secure SSH key from the TV.
Leave the Developer Mode app open and copy the TV IP address and passphrase exactly into the MAC Player Phone Installer.
The passphrase is case-sensitive. If the installer cannot connect, recheck WiFi, IP address, Key Server, and passphrase.
Once Developer Mode and Key Server are on, use the LG install guide to send MAC Player from your Android phone to the TV.
