Install MAC Player on LG TV

LG webOS installs need LG Developer Mode. The Android phone installer makes the install simpler once Developer Mode and Key Server are on.

Set up Developer Mode

First follow the LG Developer Mode setup guide. Install the Developer Mode app, sign in, turn Dev Mode Status ON, then turn Key Server ON.

Install the phone installer

On your Android phone, download and install the MAC Player Phone Installer from the MAC Player website.

Enter TV details

In the phone installer, enter the TV IP address and Developer Mode passphrase shown by the LG Developer Mode app.

Check TV then install

Press Check TV. If both services are reachable, press Install latest LG IPK. Leave the TV on while the app uploads and installs.

Activate MAC Player

When MAC Player opens on the TV, copy the activation code and use the activation page to save your Xtream or M3U playlist.

Next step

After MAC Player opens, use the activation page to connect your playlist. The app will only load playlist details when the licence is trial, free, or paid.
