Choose your device, install the app, then use the QR tools inside MAC Player to update your playlist or choose favourites from your phone.

Stable

MAC Player for LG TV

Version: Stable - 1.0.110 / 1115

For LG webOS TVs. Developer Mode is needed for the first install or a full reinstall.

After downloading, follow the LG Developer Mode steps to install it onto your TV.

MAC Player for LG TV

Important: LG Developer Mode is needed for the first install or a full reinstall. Normal in-app updates do not need Developer Mode again.

  1. Install the LG Developer Mode app on the LG TV.
  2. Sign into an LG Developer account if the TV asks.
  3. Enable Developer Mode.
  4. Turn on Key Server.
  5. Keep the TV and installer device or computer on the same Wi-Fi/network.
  6. Download the MAC Player LG IPK file from this website. Then use the LG Developer Mode install method shown below to send that IPK to your TV. The file does not install just by downloading it - it must be installed onto the TV.
  7. Open MAC Player on the TV.
  8. Activate/login as required.

Updating MAC Player

Normal LG updates after first install

  1. Open MAC Player on the LG TV.
  2. Choose Check for Updates / Update Available.
  3. Let the update install.
  4. When the app says "Update complete. Please close and reopen the app.", close MAC Player.
  5. Open MAC Player again.
  6. You do not need to repeat Developer Mode for normal in-app updates.

If the LG update looks stuck

  1. Close and reopen MAC Player.
  2. Make sure the TV is online.
  3. Open MAC Player and check updates again.
  4. If it still does not work, reinstall using Developer Mode.
  5. Do not keep pressing buttons repeatedly while it is installing.

Android Phone install

  1. Download the Android Phone TEST APK.
  2. Open the APK on the phone.
  3. If Android asks, allow "Install unknown apps".
  4. Install MAC Player.
  5. Open MAC Player.
  6. Activate/login as required.
  7. This is a test build until confirmed.

Firestick / Android TV install

  1. Download the Firestick / Android TV TEST APK.
  2. Use Downloader or another sideload method on Firestick.
  3. If Firestick asks, enable Install unknown apps for Downloader.
  4. Install the APK.
  5. Open MAC Player from Apps.
  6. Use the Firestick remote.
  7. This is a test build and still needs real Firestick testing.

Phone QR tools inside MAC Player

On LG, open Settings inside MAC Player. Use Update Playlist to send playlist details from your phone, or Update Favourites to pick favourite Live TV, Movies, and Series from your phone.

Update Playlist

  1. On the TV, open MAC Player and go to Settings.
  2. Choose Update Playlist.
  3. Scan the QR code with your phone.
  4. Enter your own authorised Xtream or M3U playlist details.
  5. Press Save playlist on the phone.
  6. Back on the TV, press Refresh Playlist.

Update Favourites

  1. On the TV, open MAC Player and go to Settings.
  2. Choose Update Favourites.
  3. Scan the QR code with your phone.
  4. Search Series, Movies, or Live TV.
  5. Tick the items you want, then press Save Favourites.
  6. Back on the TV, press Import Favourites.
